Careful if you get one stuck in a tree, the tips can detach easily when removing an embedded bolt. Although with pliers you can easily remove them without any damage to the shaft. As far as hunting, they'd work provided you have enough draw weight propelling them. Personally I got a bolt stuck into a red squirrel (due to an inferior string) when it should've probably went through. This resulted in the prey escaping with a bolt through it. But the bolts, themselves, are an excellent buy.
